Governor Sule Flags-off Wamba – Nas/Eggon Road

In continuation of determined efforts by his administration to open up the State for a accelerated economic development, Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has flagged – off the Nasarawa Eggon – Wamba Road, of about 24.5 kilometers.
The construction works for the road is put at a total sum of Nine Billion (9Bn) Naira . Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, the Governor said when completed, the road will not only reduce traffic congestion along the Akwanga — Nassarawa Eggon Road, but would also reduce one hour for the commuters plying that road.
He further announced that the contrct was awarded to Centerfield Construction Company, Nigeria Limited, who according to him, are very competent in handling road constructions across the country.
The governor urged the company to do a nice job, just as he pledged to undertake more roads constructions of such across the state, before the expiration of his tenure.
He said the company has been given twelve months within which to complete the job.
The governor appealed to the benefitting communities to cooperate, and join hands with the company to enable it execute the project to specifications.
On his part, the Managing Director, Centrefield Constructions Company, Nigeria Limited, Engr. Dayo Oladunni commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for choosing their company among those that applied for the job, and pledged to complete the project as scheduled.
Engr. Oladunni also explained that Centerfield Company is one of the best construction companies in the country.
He promised that the company will not let the governor, and people of Nasarawa State down, in the execution of the project.
In his remarks at the occasion, the Oriye Rindre, Alhaji Lawal Musa Nagogo Ibrahim commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for making history in linking Wamba to Nassarawa Eggon without having to necessarily travel to Lafia, the state capital, through Akwanga.
The paramount ruler pledged to give all necessary support to the company to enable it succeed in delivering the job not only on schedule, but to also do the needful to see that the project is speedily executed, and stand the test of time.
Some of the residents, who spoke to New Vision Newspaper shortly after the ground breaking ceremony commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for awarding the contract to a reputable company, like Centrefield Nigeria Limited, who are well known in road constructions.
The people assured the Governor of their unwavering support not only to him, but also to the company. Highlights of the occasion include cultural dance, and the symbolic construction work of the road by the governor.
