Nasarawa State Deputy y Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe has said that he has no regrets supporting Mr Jonathan Okuba Addra as Chairman of Doma Local Government Council.
Dr. Akabe who disclosed this in Doma recently while commissioning some projects executed by the chairman, also commended Hon. for embarking on the projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
The Deputy Governor further stated that before the APC primaries in the area, three names were submitted to him to chose between them on whom to be elected as chairman of Doma Local Government Council, he initially found it difficult to choce among them as according to him, “all of them are imminently qualifief, I have decided to choose Mr. Jonathan Okuba Addra and as you can see, he did not disappoint me, having done many projects across Doma Local Government Area. He was also abled to unite the people of Doma to come together become as one indivisible family. That’s why he is called Mr. Unity. Thank you very Much Mr. Unity for not letting me down.”.
While calling on the people of the local government to continue to support the administrations of Hon. Addra, as well as Nasarawa the State government under His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A.Sule.
Dr Akabe urged the chairman to maintain the tempo in order to provide more divideneds of democracy to the people of Doma Local government Area.
Also speaking, Nasarawa State APC Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello commended the chair for performing well in the past eight months that he has been in office. Dr. Bello also urged people of the local government to continue to support the Chairman to enable him succeed in carrying out the enormous tasks ahead of developing the local government.
Dr. Bello who further stated that the numerous achievements recorded by the chairman Doma is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and that of Governor Abdullahi A.Sule.
He also urged the chairman to do more for the benefit of the people of Doma Local Government Area.
On his part, State Commissioner for LOCAL Government Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata apart from commending the chairman for a job weldone, also called on other local government chairmen to emulate him. Maifata who was the immediate past National Chairman, Association of local government in Nigeria( ALGON),observed that the Doma Local government Council Chairman, has done better than them just within eight years, and called for more support to enable him succeed on the enormous tasks ahead.
The Nasarawa State ALGON Chairman, and Chairman, Akwanga Local Government Council, Hon. Safiyan Isa Andaha also commended Hon. chairman for making ALGON proud, promising that more projects executed by the local government chairmen in the state would soon be commissioned, as according to him, “The present set of local government chairmen are emulating the State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, not only in providing the divideneds of democracy to the peoplle, but to also ensure probity and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities. Speaking to Newvision shortly after commissioning Doma council chairman, residence, Hon. Addra attributed his success to the will of God and the good people of Doma, for thesupport and cooperation they have given to him in the last eight months as council chairman.
He also commended Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for given them more support to provide dividends of democracy to the people of Doma.
The Chairman also commended the Deputy governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe for supporting him to succeed, and pledged not to let him and the people of Doma down
