PDP Has No Anointed Candidate – Party Chairman

The Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nassarawa State, Alhaji Adamu Bako Ninga said the party has no anointed candidate for the forthcoming 2027 elections in the state.
He stated this in Keffi, in the course of a thank you visit, to 13 Local Government Areas of the state, embarked upon by state officials of the party.
Hon. Adamu Ninga said that since its formation PDP has never giving any body automatic ticket.
He said the party has always insisted on the conduct of primaries to elect its candidates for general elections.
He emphasized that conduct of primaries is a constitutional provision which the party will ensure that it is always observed in line with the principle of rule of law.
The party chieftain urged all party members to disregard any rumour of anointed candidate for 2027 general election. The PDP Chairman also reiterated his condemnation of some of the party’s members who left the party to join the coalition of parties.
He restated his earlier view, describing it as unfortunate, because according to him, it is those the PDP have built politically, who are now turning their back at the party.
Hon. Adamu Ninga said the tour was organized to appreciate members of the party across the state for giving the present Executive Committee the mandate to administer the party.
He assured party loyalists that the state EXCO under his leadership is working round the clock to ensure victory for PDP victory in the 2027 general elections, at both the state and the federal levels.
During the tour the PDP EXCO ensured that they paid tributes to Traditional Rulers, as a mark of respect.
In all the palaces visited, The PDP Chairman solicited for the prayers and blessings of the traditional rulers.
In their responses all the royal fathers wished the visitors success in their mission.
